On 22 May 2018, Director General of the International Union of Railways (UIC), Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, signed a wide-ranging new partnership with Russell Publishing, the independent, international publishers of Intelligent Transport and Global Railway Review. The breadth of this exciting agreement offers a platform for both parties to deliver collaborative, industry-led events as well as insightful multi-media cooperation in print and online.

Speaking at the formal signing ceremony, Clare King, Head of Events at Russell Publishing, stated: “This new partnership will benefit our audience by bringing them closer to the UIC’s vast knowledge base and established network of key industry figures. Equally, the UIC and its members will now have exposure to our magazines and websites, which are designed to keep the wider transport community up to speed with all the latest developments. We are looking forward to working with the UIC across our network to forge the future of mobility across cities and continents.”

Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, Director General of the UIC described the association’s commitment to partner with the wider railway community and the globally inclusive foundations the UIC has been built on: “The UIC was created in 1922 to rebuild a fragmented Europe on the basis of interoperability and with a global vision. We now have 200 members, we cover 100 countries and we represent over 1 million kilometres of infrastructure and 7 million people. We have three values: unity, universality and solidarity and we have three pillars of philosophy, which are; to be open, to share and to connect.”
