The gala ceremony of the UIC International Sustainable Railway Awards 2022 will be hosted at the Radisson Collection Hotel Berlin on 1 June, it has been announced. Award winners across 11 categories will be announced at the ceremony, recognising railway projects and initiatives that create a better future through social, environmental and economic sustainability.
The awards are part of the International Union of Railways (UIC) vision for the future of rail, celebrating and sharing worldwide best practice and promoting growth in the sector. Shortlisted organisations include passenger and freight rail operators, infrastructure owners and governments.
Lucie Anderton, UIC’s Head of Sustainable Development and Raimondo Orsini, Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation, will host the ceremony.
The five-star Radisson Collection Hotel Berlin will also host the 11th International Railway Summit from 30 May to 1 June 2022.
